Fun With Marshmallows

Thursday, 14 May, all our SNAP friends joined in an evening of fun with marshmallows. There were games, art projects, and even some engineering. And, of course, at the end of the day there was a fair amount of marshmallow consumption. Good gooey fun!

 We gathered at 7:00 P.M.

Each color group recited its theme

The Santiagos helped us with a craft project

 All ya need is love

We could write or draw whatever we chose

 Sister Santiago lends a hand

There were games of skill at the Geurts' table

Hit the cone and it shoots it right back at you

 A balancing act

 Nice job

Brother and Sister Norris had a shooting range

Blow the marshmallow, hit the target

With a mighty blast of air,  the marshmallow is launched

Blow, cough, laugh -- in that order

Sister Burns was the master engineer, helping us build marshmallow towers

Marshmallows and skewers made it happen

 This leg is ready

 It's a delicate balancing act

 It requires focus and concentration

Sister Taylor joined us in making marshmallow sculptures

 Brother Burns' little piggy

 Creations of every sort

How about that little marshmallow man?

Brother and Sister Wride showed us how to launch marshmallows with cups fitted with balloons

If you look closely you can see Sydney's marshmallow flying

Don't shoot me, I'm just the photographer

When the activities are finished, why not eat the marshmallows?

The cultural hall was filled with fun and laughter

Friends are why we love SNAP
