Our dog night started with a group that trains seeing eye dogs. They explained to us that the dogs are in private homes as puppies where they are house trained and taught some discipline until they are ready for their seeing eye dog training.
The dogs were at different levels of training and we learned how to safely interact with these dogs. Next the Schiess family brought three dogs in three sizes. They showed us a Lhasa Apso, a Staffordshire Terrier and a Irish Wolf Hound, the size of a small horse.
Brother and Sister Trammell brought their Scottish Terrier. We fed the dogs treats and petted them. For the rest of the evening we colored pictures of different breeds and put together dog puzzles. It was furry fun.
