Art Night at PROVO SNAP
A wonderful Art Evening at Provo SNAP. A lot of creative fun and learning about all kinds of art. Our guest artists included a talented Boy Scout, named Chandler, who did an incredible sculpture and drawings with markers among some other medias he was proficient in. After he completed his picture there was a drawing at the end of the night and a lucky SNAP leader won. Sariah is in junior high school and quite a gifted artist for her age. She taught us how to shade and use perspective and displayed various kinds of art for all to enjoy, especially a very realistic painting of a pacific octopus. Bro. Mel Milton, a wonderfully talented illustrator and animator for video games told us how he got started with his art career. He delighted the group with his quick sketch drawing on the blackboard of Tinkerbell. Mel is an amazing illustrator. Our own Bro. Trammell displayed some of his oils, watercolors, and tradigital paintings and discussed different art media. He also showed a sculpture, bow and arrow and a model of a trebuchet he created.
Then it was creative time for our participants who made sculptures of Play-Doh, collages, water colors, creations from craft sticks, bracelets and necklaces with beads and pipecleaners. Their works of art were displayed for all to admire on our gallery walk. They were impressive.
