Celebrating
Mothers
And
The Other Wonderful Women In Our Lives
A
wonderful Mother's Day celebration with many Moms attending with
their son or daughter Participants. Sister Trammell welcomed all the
Mothers and also several women standing in for Participants' Moms who
were unable to attend. She introduced the SNAP Adult and Youth
Leadership who are called by the Church and volunteer their time to
help make SNAP successful each week. After opening exercises led by
Spencer, with group song accompaniment by Tyler as usual, Sis.
Woodard explained the activity for the evening, Bro. Trammell briefly
demonstrated the Provo SNAP Blog and explained how it could be very
helpful for parents and Participants. There was a wonderful buffet of
treats and sandwiches, tables were set with decorated flower “teacup”
pots created the week prior by the SNAP Participants, as gifts for
their Moms. Prelude music was provided by Sister Andreason, and they
led us in a fun participation song by Brother Naumann and his Mom.
Sister Henderson played her harp beautifully for us. To end the
activity many SNAP Participants stepped to the front to say how much
their Moms mean to them. A very touching and wonderful evening for
all.
